     Boldly Enter the Throne Room

God is a God of relationship.   God desires a loving, caring, growing relation with each of us.   But because of a lack of knowledge and understanding (Hosea 4:6) many people fail to ever step into any kind of real relationship with Him.

Hosea 4:6   My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law (Word) of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

So many people have such a distorted understanding about God and how He feels about us and how He reacts to us.   In Romans 12:1-2 we are told to be 'transformed by the renewing of our minds.'   How do we 'renew' our minds?   By hearing and studying (II Timothy 2:15) the Word of God.

II Timothy 2:15   Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

In Hebrews 4:16 and Hebrews 10:19-22 we are told to 'come boldly unto the throne of grace', and 'Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest, let us draw near'.

Wow, how can I come boldly into the presence of an awesome, Holy God?   If I enter into the Throne room in boldness, would that not be considered arrogant and prideful?   Aren't I suppose to have a humble and contrite spirit before God.

First:   Yes, we are to walk in a humble and contrite spirit before God.   We enter into His presence, with a humble and contrite spirit, by knowing and understanding that we have done absolutely nothing of our own that would allow us to stand before a Holy, Sovereign God.   It is only by His Grace and His Mercy that we can enter into His presence.

Second:   We can enter into the Throne room in boldness, with full assurance and confidence based upon what His Word says about 'who and what we are, in and through Christ Jesus':

       a.  'Blood Covenant Child'   We can enter His Holy Presence because of the 'Blood' of Jesus (Hebrew 10:19).   It is the Shed Blood of the Lamb of God, our Passover Lamb (I Corinthians 5:7) that we can have an intimate relationship with the Almighty God.   We can enjoy all the Blessings and Promises of God today through Christ Jesus, because of what He did for us on the Cross of Calvary.   We are "Blood Covenant Children' of God.

Hebrews 10:19   Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus.

I Corinthians 5:7   Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened.   For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us:

       b.  'Forgiven'   We can enter into the Throne room knowing that we have been reconciled (Romans 5:10-11) unto God, our sins forgiven (I John 1:9), and justified (Romans 5:9).   Other words, we can enter into God's Holy Presence without a sense of guilt or condemnation (Romans 8:1).   We can come into the Throne room without feeling guilty.   Awesome!!

Romans 5:10-11   For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.   And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

I John 1:9   If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Romans 5:9   Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Romans 8:1   There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

       c.  'Righteousness of God'   We can enter into the presence of a Sovereign God because He has made us righteous (II Corinthians 5:21) enough to do so.   We can not do or say anything of our own that would make us good enough to enter into God's Holy presence.   But God has chosen to make us good enough through His Son Jesus.   When the enemy or our own self tells us that we are not good enough to enter the Throne room or not worthy enough to do the work God has called us to do.   We can boldly, with full assurance and confidence say "Yes I am . . I am the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus."

II Corinthians 5:21   For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

       d.  'Sons and Heirs'   Not only can we come into the Throne room boldly, with full assurance and confidence, but we can enter knowing we are Welcome!!   We know that there is One upon the Throne with His arms wide open, saying "come here child, I Love you, I welcome you."   (Galatians 4:4-7)   We can enter the Throne room in great joy, bathed in the Love of an Awesome Father, God.

Galatians 4:4-7   But when the fullness of time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,  To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.   And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.   Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

According to the Word of God, we can enter the Throne room in all Boldness.   As you come to understand the depth of this, hopefully, you will grow in boldness, assurance, and confidence in your relationship with God you haven't had before.
