    Epilepsy

    Dumb and Deaf Spirit

I am not a medical doctor.   Immediately that disqualifies me from writing the following article.   Whoa, don't leave yet.   Continue to read on, you just might find something interesting.   I am not going to bore you with all my opinions and wisdom.   I am simply going to relate to you what the God of Creation has to say about epilepsy.   I am going to use the Word of God to bring revelation knowledge concerning epilepsy.

What I am really asking you to do, is read the following, meditate upon it, pray about it, and allow the Holy Spirit to speak the truth concerning epilepsy, into your heart and mind.

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.   If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.     John 8:32, 36

What do I want out of it?   I want to see the 'captives set free'.   I want to see innocent people set free from this horrible, foul, demonic spirit.

       Our Lord Jesus said:

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.   Luke 4:18-19

The Word of God says we are to expose the demonic and cast them out, 'setting the captives free'.

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove (expose) them.    Ephesians 5:11

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils;   Mark 16:17

The Word of God tells us that epilepsy is demonic.   It is caused by a foul, unclean spirit called 'Dumb and Deaf'.   Now this is not saying that the person with epilepsy is dumb, but is simply calling the foul spirit causing the epilepsy, the spirit of 'Dumb and Deaf'.

Now, let's go to the scriptures and see what the God of Glory has to say concerning epilepsy.

       Gospel of Matthew:

And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.   And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers disease and torments, and those which were possessed with devils (daimonizomai - a demonic being or demons), and those which were lunatic (seleniazomai - epileptic), and those that had the palsy (paralutikos - paralyzed, paralytic); and he healed them.      Matthew 4:23-24

       Gospel of Mark:

And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught.   And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes.   And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean (akathartos - impure, lewd, foul) spirit; and he cried out, Saying, Let us alone, what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth?   Art thou come to destroy us?   I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.   And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him.   And when the unclean (akathartos - impure, lewd, foul) spirit had torn (sparasso - to convulse with epilepsy, spasmodic contractions, to mangle) him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him.   And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this?   What new doctrine is this?   For with authority commandeth he even the unclean (akathartos - impure, lewd, foul) spirits, and they do obey him.   And immediately his fame spread abroad throughout all the region round about Galilee.      Mark 1:21-28

       Gospel of Mark:

And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the scribes questioning with them.   And straightway all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to him saluted him.   And he asked the scribes, What question ye with them?   And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb (alalos - mute, speechless) spirit;   And wheresoever he taketh (katalambano - seize, overtake, possess) him, he teareth (rhegnumi - to convulse with spasms) him: and he foameth (aphrizo - to froth at the mouth during an epileptic convulsion), and gnasheth (trizo - to grate the teeth) with his teeth, and pineth (xeraino - to shrivel, dry up, loose weight) away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.   He answered him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you?   How long shall I suffer you?   Bring him unto me.   And they brought him unto him:  and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare (sparasso - to convulse with epilepsy, spasmodic contractions, to mangle) him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed (kulioo - to thrash about) foaming (aphrizo - to froth at the mouth during an epileptic convulsion).   And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him?   And he said, of a child.   And oft-times it hath cast (ballo - to throw violently) him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy (apollumi - to utterly destroy, perish, die) him:  but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.   Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.   And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.   When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul (akathartos - impure, lewd, unclean) spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb (alalos - mute, speechless) and deaf (kophos - deaf, blunted, dulled, speechless) spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more unto him.   And the spirit cried (krazo - croak, scream, shriek, to call aloud), and rent (sparasso - to convulse with epilepsy, spasmodic contractions, to mangle) him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.   But Jesus took him by the hand, lifted him up; and he arose.   And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked privately, Why could we not cast him out?   And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.      Mark 9:14-29

       Gospel of Luke:

And it came to pass, that on the next day, when they were come down from the hill, much people met him.   And, behold, a man of the company cried out, saying, Master, I beseech thee, look upon my son: for he is mine only child.   And, lo, a spirit taketh (lambano - to take, to get hold of, to seize) him, and he suddenly crieth (krazo - croak, scream, shriek, to call aloud) out; and it teareth (sparasso - to convulse with epilepsy, spasmodic contractions, to mangle) him that he foameth (aphrizo - to froth at the mouth during an epileptic convulsion) again, and bruising (suntribo - to completely crush, to shatter, to break, broken to shivers) him hardly (mogis - difficulty, toil, labor) departeth from him.   And I besought thy disciples to cast him out; and they could not.   And Jesus answering said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you, and suffer you?   Bring thy son hither.   And as he was yet a coming, the devil (daimonion - a demonic being, demon), threw (sparasso - to convulse with epilepsy, spasmodic contractions, to mangle) him down, and tare (sparasso - to convulse with epilepsy, spasmodic contractions, to mangle) him.   And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed (iaomai - to cure, make whole, heal) the child, and delivered him again to his father       Luke 9:37-42

       Gospel of Matthew:

And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying, Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is a lunatic (seleniazomai - epileptic), and sore (kakos - badly, miserably, grievously, evil, sick, diseased) vexed (pascho - to experience a sensation, feel, passion, suffer, painful): for oft-times he falleth (pipto - fail, fall down, stumble) into the fire, and oft into the water.   And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.   Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you?   How long shall I suffer you?   Bring him here to me.   And Jesus rebuked the devil (daimonion - a demonic being, demon); and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.      Matthew 17:14-18

Medical science and doctors quote the causes of epilepsy as:  the result from a birth defect, a birth or severe head injury, a brain tumor, or an infection in the brain.   They state it can also be inherited, genetic heredity.   One thing is certain, it is not contagious.   They then go on to say, for half the people with epilepsy, a cause cannot be found.

There seemingly is no real cure, doctors treat the symptoms with medication, anticonvulsant medication.

I believe them, all these things probably cause epilepsy.   If you have epilepsy and are on medication, do not stop taking your medication.   Remember, I am not a medical doctor, and you must not believe me.

God has revealed to us, in His Word, the root cause of epilepsy.   It is a demonic spirit, called a spirit of 'dumb and deaf'.   How did it get there, who knows.   God really doesn't go into the 'how' end of it.   Perhaps through fear, through trama, or maybe a generational curse, a generational spirit.   The important thing is, it is there, and needs to be dealt with through the ministry of deliverance.   Then complete healing can take place.

Some of the signs or characteristics of the 'dumb and deaf' spirit are: nausea, headaches, dizziness, numbness, unable to speak, unable to hear, constant crying, convulsions, spasms, seizures, grating of teeth, drooling, chewing movements, loss of consciousness, unexplained weight loss, and suicidal tendencies.

A word of caution, just because one may have one or more of these symptoms does not necessarily mean they have this foul spirit.

I fully believe that every person suffering from epilepsy can be set free through deliverance.   In the Name of Jesus, through the Blood of the Lamb, there is Deliverance and Healing from epilepsy.

If you are one that suffers from epilepsy, may the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob set you free and restore your health through His Son Jesus.
