The Lord Jesus Christ is Jehovah-Nissi, The Lord Our Banner
And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. John 12:32
Jehovah: the redemptive and covenant name of God, the Self-existent One Who reveals Himself.
Nissi: 'to be conspicuous, i. e. as a flag, a standard, a banner, a signal.' The prime root of the word means 'to gleam from a far' and carries the idea of 'a flag fluttering in the wind'.
Jehovah-Nissi: the combined name definition - The Self-existent One Who reveals Himself is our Banner.
Christ Jesus is the Banner of His Church! The Lord is our Banner! He is the Banner that waves in the heart and mind of every Believer!
A banner is to be lifted up and displayed, for all to see!
The scriptures teach us that as God's people we are to raise high the Lord Jesus as our Banner for all men to see!
How? We do this, by the words we speak and the life we live! Our very lives should reflect the very glory of God . . . thus showing Him off as our Banner!
In Psalm 63:3 and 145:4, the word 'praise' comes from the Hebrew word 'shabach', meaning to loudly, triumphantly, shout glory and honor to the Lord.

My God, the Great I AM, the Holy One, the Almighty God, my Creator, Immanuel! . . the Word of God, the Good News, the Gospel! . . the Son of God, the Son of Man, the Lamb of God, the Lion of Judah, the Christ, the Anointed One, the Messiah!
My Saviour, Redeemer, Deliverer, Healer, Prophet, Advocate, Mediator, High Priest! . . He is Love, Grace, Mercy, Peace, Hope, Assurance, Confidence! . . my Shepherd, my Brother, my Friend, my Bridegroom!
The Way, the Light, Eternal Life, Resurrection Life, the Bread of Life, Fountain of Living Water, the Door! . . Righteousness, Faithful, Provider! . . my King, my Lord, my Master, Ruler, Governor, Judge! . . He is my Rock, Sure Foundation, Protection, Strength, Power, Refuge, Shield, Fortress, High Tower!
He is my everything! He is my Life, the very breath I breathe! He is my joy, my happiness, my hope!
Jesus is my Saviour, Lord, Master, and King! I am Born-again, a New Creation! I am a Blood Covenant Child, bought and paid for by the Blood of Jesus! My sins are forgiven, I am Sanctified, Justified, Washed and Cleansed by the Blood of the Lamb of God, Jesus! Glory!
