    Thy Kingdom Come!

Will of the Father              Abundant Life

    Salvation                 Deliverance                 Healing

Jesus came to do the 'Will' of the Father!

For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.   And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.       John 12:49-50

I can of my own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not my own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.       John 5:30

Jesus makes it very clear, He came to do the Father's will, not His.   He spoke nothing unless the Father told Him to say it.   He did nothing unless the Father told Him to do it.   Whatever the Heavenly Father told Him to say, He said it.   Whatever the Heavenly Father told Him to do, He did it.   Jesus did the 'Will' of the Father!

What is the 'Will' of the Father?

And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.   And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias.  And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,  The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at them that are bruised,  To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.  And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down.  And he began to say unto them,  This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.       Luke 4:16-21

So what just happened here?   What really took place?   Jesus was proclaiming;   I am He!  .  .  I am the Messiah!  .  .  the Righteous One!  .  .  the Anointed One!  .  .  I have come to do the Father's will!

What was the Father's will?  .  .  to preach the gospel to the poor  .  .  to heal the brokenhearted  .  .  to preach deliverance to the captives  .  .  the recovering of sight to the blind  .  .  to set at liberty them that are bruised  .  .  to preach the acceptable year of the Lord  .  .  to bring Life Abundant!

Jesus says in John 10:10, He came to give 'life' and life 'more abundant'.

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:  I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.       John 10:10

Bottom line:   The Father wants to see peoples' lives changed  .  .  Salvation  .  .  Deliverance  .  .  Healing  .  .  Abundant Life!

Jesus  .  .  Preached the Gospel  .  .  the Will of the Father.

From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.       Matthew 4:7

And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent.   And he preached in the of Galilee.       Luke 4:43-44

Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,  And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.       Mark 1:14-15

And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him,       Luke 8:1

Jesus  .  .  Preached the Gospel  .  .  followed by signs and wonders  .  .  the Will of the Father.

And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.   But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.   Then saith he unto his disciples,  The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;  Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.       Matthew 9:35-38

And he said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for therefore came I forth.   And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils.       Mark 1:38-39

And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.   And his fame went through out all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsey; and he healed them.   And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan.       Matthew 4:23-25

And Jesus departed from thence, and came nigh unto the sea of Galilee; and went up into a mountain, and sat down there.   And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them:   Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.       Matthew 15:29-31

And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils.   And all the city was gathered together at the door.   And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.       Mark1:32-34

And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases;   And they that were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed.   And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.       Luke 6:17-19

Jesus' answer to John the Baptist's questions  .  .  .

John the Baptist was in prison, doubt and unbelief were beginning to overtake him.   He sent two of his 'followers' to ask Jesus, 'are you the Messiah, are you the one sent to do the will of the Father'?

Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples,  And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?   Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:  The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.       Matthew 11:2-5

When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying,  Art thou he that should come?  or look we for another?   And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmites and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight.   Then Jesus answering said unto them,  Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard;  how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.       Luke 7:20-22

Jesus didn't answer them and say,  'What is John's problem?   He knows who I am; when I came to the Jordan to be baptized by him, he said, 'Behold the Lamb of God, that takes away the sins of the world'  .  .  He argued he wasn't worthy to baptize me, much less to even tie my sandals  .  .  When I came up out of the water, he saw the Holy Spirit descend upon me and heard the Father say, 'Behold my Son, in whom I am well pleased'.   What is his problem?

Instead, Jesus turned, and begin ministering to the multitude;  He preached the gospel to them, cured many of their infirmities and plagues, made the lame to walk, cleansed the lepers, caused the deaf to hear, gave sight to the blind, cast out demons 'setting the captives free', and raised the dead.

Then Jesus turned back to John's two 'followers' and said unto them,  Go tell John everything you have seen and heard me do.   John will know that 'I am He  .  .  I am the Messiah  .  .  the Righteous One  .  .  the Anointed One  .  .  I have come to do the Father's Will  .  .  I am doing my Father's will!

    Transfer of Power:

    The Twelve  .  .

Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.   And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.   And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where.       Luke 9:1-2, 6

For he had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues.   And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying,  Thou art the Son of God.   And he straitly charged them that they should not make him known.   And he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth unto him whom he would: and they came unto him.   And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,  And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils:       Mark 3:10-15

And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits;   And they went out, and preached that men should repent.   And they cast out devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.       Mark 6:7, 12-13

And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.   These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:  But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.   And as ye go, preach, saying,  The kingdom of heaven is at hand.   Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.       Matthew 10:1, 5-8

    The Seventy  .  .

After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two by two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.   Therefore said he unto them,  The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.   And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them,  The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.  .  .  And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.       Luke 10:1-2, 9, 17

The 'Church'  .  .  the 'Body of Christ'  .  .

       Philip:

Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word.   Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them.   And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.   For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed.   And there was great joy in that city.       Acts 8:4-8

       Paul:

And I said, Who art thou, Lord?   And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.   But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,  To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.   Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:       Acts 26:15-19

       Today  .  .  the Beliver  .  .

Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, Verily, I say unto you,  The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.   For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth:  and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.   For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.       John 5:19-21

Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he,  and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.   And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.       John 8:28-28

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and manifest myself to him.       John 12:21

Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me?   the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.   Believe me that I am in the Father, and the father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.   Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.       John 14:10-12

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.   He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.   And these signs shall follow them that believe;  In my name shall they cast out devils;  they shall speak with new tongues;  They shall take up serpents;  and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them;  they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.       Mark 16:15-18

The 'Believer' is never alone  .  .  Jesus is right there confirming His Word  .  .  speak His Word and expect the Lord to confirm it with signs and wonders!

So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.   And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the Word with signs following.   Amen.       Mark 16:19-20

The duty and responsibility of the 'Church', the 'Body of Christ', the 'Believer' is to do the 'Will' of the Father.

What is the Father's will?  .  .  preach the gospel to the poor, bring healing to the brokenhearted, preach deliverance to the 'captives', the recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, and preach the acceptable year of the Lord.   To bring Life Abundant!

Bottom line  .  .  The Father wants to see peoples' lives changed:  Salvation, Deliverance, Healing, and Abundant Life!
